Mission Statement

The mission of the American Association of LifeStyle Counselors is to improve the health of the American population by promoting healthy lifestyles that reduce the risks of preventable diseases through education directed toward the population and its healthcare providers.

In pursuing its mission, the Association will continue to develop and maintain the highest standards of multi-disciplinary, comprehensive LifeStyle counseling in the markets it serves.

The Association will continue to unite various disciplines of the American healthcare system into an alliance dedicated to providing the highest quality of LifeStyle counseling services in the world.

Membership

AALC membership consists of Certified LifeStyle Counselors working in the fields of nutrition, exercise physiology, health education, health & fitness club administration, psychology, medicine, corporate wellness, as private practitioners, and in many other weight management and stress management-related areas.

Members are located throughout the U.S., England, and in several other countries.

History

Founded in Dallas, TX in 1995 under the leadership of David L. Hager, CPA, MBA, Brenda L. Wolfe, Ph.D., and S. Elaine Hager, CPA, MBA. Mr. Hager currently serves as the Executive Director of the AALC.
